Job Description & How to Apply Below
Craftsmanship that carries a signature—yours
Imagine stepping up to a print with tight tolerances, building a fixture that locks dimensions in place, and laying a TIG or GMAW bead that passes inspection the first time. As an Industrial Metal Fabrication Welder–Fitter at Pro-Cise, Inc., you convert individual parts into dependable weldments by combining technical skill, safety‑first habits, and ISO‑aligned discipline.
- Weldments that meet quality, dimensional, and efficiency goals—consistently.
- Accurate documentation: labor reporting, complete work orders, and clearly identified WIP.
- Mentorship and teamwork that lift the whole cell’s performance.
- Independently fit and weld components/sub‑assemblies using established processes and techniques.
- Read and apply blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to plan work and verify results.
- Perform TIG and GMAW welding on ferrous and non‑ferrous metals for diverse customer projects.
- Assist with fixture design and fabrication to support repeatable quality.
- Adhere to ISO procedures, PPE requirements, and safe equipment operation guidelines.
- Operate forklifts, jib cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices safely and efficiently.
- Train and mentor new welders or team members as needed.
- Pass required welding certification tests, including contract‑specific qualifications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet department and company objectives.
- Hands‑on proficiency in TIG and GMAW.
- Strong blueprint reading with GD&T fluency.
- Confident use of precision tools: tape measures, squares, protractors, and weld gauges.
- Detail orientation, quality focus, and professional communication.
- Problem‑solving ability; comfortable working independently or in a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and process‑driven; open to continuous improvement and skill growth.
- Technical Diploma in Welding preferred; OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of four (4) years of welding experience and/or related training.
- Meets Pro-Cise, Inc. welding qualification requirements and passes applicable certification tests.
- AWS D1.1 certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Forklift and lifting‑device operation certification (company‑provided).
- Extended standing; frequent walking; regular reaching/handling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Vision capabilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment with strong focus and situational awareness.
- Interpret written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Troubleshoot welding/fabrication issues and balance multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Exposure to welding fumes, airborne particles, hot surfaces, and moving mechanical parts.
- High‑temperature materials and loud noise; hearing protection required.
- Manufacturing floor with required PPE, ventilation, and safety protocols.
