Eau Claire Cooperative Oil Company is seeking a dedicated, hardworking, 1st shift Machine Operator to join our production team.

You are a good fit for this role if:

Candidates should have previous machine operation experience, be self-motivated, have strong organizational skills, pay close attention to detail, maintain regular, dependable attendance, and follow the company's safety policy. Job duties require wearing personal protective equipment and lifting over 50 pounds throughout the day.

Requirements
  • Maintain bagging equipment to achieve optimal efficiency.
  • Conducts equipment repair and assists the maintenance department with significant repairs.
  • Communicates equipment status and equipment conditions to the shift supervisor and the maintenance department
  • Verifies that the weighing systems used in producing fertilizers and ice melt are correctly calibrated and any product dispensed meets the weight tolerances of the specific package.
  • Verifies that the packaging and product label match the materials dispensed and are void of foreign materials.
  • Verify that the final packaging is neat and clean in appearance, neatly stacked on a pallet
  • Verify that any chemical additive was applied correctly and blended into the proper materials.
  • Achieve maximum production while maintaining quality and completeness of the material produced
  • Set up the automated bagging system to efficiently fill and seal our customers' packaging promptly
  • Maintain the print and apply systems as well as the inline inkjet printers
  • Maintain the Sealer
  • Monitor the reject conveyor and make corrections to prevent rejected product
  • Load pallets and ensure that the input elevator is loaded with the correct pallet
  • Assist in cleaning material handling piping and screeners
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Document downtime and any quality deficiencies in the appropriate logbooks.

Summary

Responsible for setting up and operating the automated bagging machines and the automated palletizer. Monitors the production schedule and verifies that the bags, secondary labeling, and packaged materials are correct. Assists with other duties (including any production position) as necessary by the shift supervisor to meet the company's production goals.
