American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 3 Trauma facility in Eau Claire, WI, requiring OR experience across a broad range of surgical specialties including robotics, ortho, and C‑sections.

Requirements
  • Active WI RN license or compact RN license (must be active by start date)
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 1 year of OR RN experience required
  • Experience with da Vinci robotics, ortho spine, ortho total joints, general surgery, ENT, urology, GYN, C‑sections, and endoscopy required
  • Scrubbing is not required for RNs in this position
  • 2 professional references required: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years of relevant specialty experience
Responsibilities
  • Acute care hospital OR setting with 7 surgical suites averaging 15–25 cases per day
  • Common case types include general surgery, orthopedics, robotics (da Vinci), plastics, ENT, urology, C‑sections, GYN, and endoscopy
  • Level 3 Trauma facility
  • 12-hour day shifts with a typical start time of 6:45–7:30 AM
  • 24‑hour coverage model; schedule varies
  • Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on‑call requirements apply with a 30‑minute call response time
  • Floating to the outpatient surgery center may be required
  • EMR:
    Cerner (transitioning to Epic)
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility; nurses must supply their own shoes, which remain in the department
  • Circulating RN responsibilities across a high‑volume OR performing a wide variety of surgical specialties
  • Candidates who have previously worked for this health system as permanent staff must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
  • Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate
  • Orientation hours vary based on individual skills assessment
