Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide a full range of psychiatric services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up care. You will work closely with individuals, families and the community to promote mental health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities: The psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) will be responsible to conduct thorough psychiatric assessment and evaluations as well as identifying risk factors that may affect the patient’s mental health where the PMHNP will make diagnoses based on assessment and provide medication management and psychotherapy. Collaborate with other health care providers, therapists and community resources. The PMHNP will educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options while maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Participate in case conferences and team meetings and advocate for patients’ needs within the community.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing with a focus on Psychiatry.
• Current licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Practitioner
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric nursing
• Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to providing high quality compassionate care
