The Certified Nurse Midwife is a member of the health care team who provides midwifery care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs during labor delivery and postpartum. The role involves identifying additional needs for mothers and babies in birthing units, collaborating with Obstetrician‑Gynecologists or licensed physicians as appropriate, and functioning under national and state licensure and current written protocols overseen by collaborating physicians.

• Master’s degree in nursing with emphasis in midwifery
• Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or Nurse Compact License, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), and Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber within two months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire
