Position Overview
Dove Healthcare seeks an RN Infection Control Manager to oversee infection control programs at the West Eau Claire and South Eau Claire locations.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with appropriate staff to track infection control screening and employee illness, ensuring compliance with return-to-work policies and procedures.
- Perform surveillance of facility infectious disease and antibiotic use.
- Coordinate and manage the annual influenza program.
- Conduct annual TB risk assessments and N95 fit testing for staff members.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure that infection prevention and control standards for residents and employees are present and in compliance.
- Provide information regarding new standards and changes in infection prevention and control practices to the facility management team.
- Communicate state alerts, regulatory changes, and CDC information to the Director of Nursing and facility staff.
- Manage residents on precautions and ensure appropriate interventions are in place for their infectious processes.
- Manage outbreaks, lead outbreak meetings, and set parameters to control outbreaks in the facility.
- Coordinate and manage the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program.
- Perform quality improvement audits/competencies for all staff to assure compliance with facility policy, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop action plans to address trends identified in audits in conjunction with the appropriate department head.
- Perform skills check-offs and training for employees.
- Current licensure in Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse.
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Effective problem‑solving and communication skills and a passion to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- CDC Infection Prevention online course (will be provided if not already certified).
