Minimum of 2 years experience as a registered nurse in labor and delivery; current license to submit. - Schedule:
Self‑scheduling with weekend requirement every 3rd Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. No holiday standby or call requirement specified. - Responsibilities and Clinical Details:
- Comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, labor, postpartum, and couplet care.
- Experienced in managing patients with common obstetric diagnoses such as pre‑eclampsia, gestational diabetes, postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal respiratory distress.
- Skilled in reading fetal monitor strips independently; monitors are GE brand with Fetalink system.
- Titration of drips such as oxytocin, insulin, magnesium is required.
- Support for diverse units including labor and postpartum.
- Potential to float to other units as a sitter if needed, following same rotation as staff nurses.
- On‑site equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and vents primarily used for neonatal care.
- Orientation includes online training, one day in labor, and one day in postpartum care.
- Additional Information:
- Local candidate pool, with candidate residing within 80 miles.
- Candidates must document prior experience with the facility if applicable, with end date at least 6 months prior if previously employed there.
- The role involves clocking in/out at designated units and working within units separated for labor and postpartum patients.
- No in‑house anesthesia or neonatologist 24/7 presence; neonatal care supported with in‑house respiratory therapy.
