Job SummaryProduce Evening Supervisor
Reports to:
Produce Department Manager
As a leader passionate about fresh produce and guest service, you will support the Produce Department Manager in overseeing night operations, ensuring high standards of care for our fruits and vegetables, guiding associates, and maintaining a great shopping experience.
Responsibilities- Assisting Leadership: Support the Produce Department Manager and all Produce associates to ensure a consistent shopping experience, adherence to company policies, and attainment of department goals.
- Reinforcing Culture: Promote Festival culture, customer service, and performance expectations to all Produce associates.
- Training Support: Assist with training new Produce associates and providing re‑training as necessary.
- Guidance and Support: Answer questions and offer guidance to all Produce department associates.
- Quality Assurance: Observe sales floor and back stock conditions, taking action to correct any areas of opportunity.
- Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure accurate pricing on products sold.
- Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Store Director, Produce Manager/Assistant Manager, other Department Managers, and Produce associates to uphold standards and exceed guest expectations.
- Customer Service Excellence: Assist guests in finding items, taking orders, and handling special requests; answer the telephone using proper phone etiquette and resolve guest concerns.
- Leading by Example: Assist all department associates with daily responsibilities while leading by example and contributing to overall cleanliness of the department.
- Food Safety Compliance: Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.
- Other Duties: Complete additional duties as assigned and maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule.

Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel. - Communication
Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills, able to handle a diverse crew in a highly stressful environment. - Safety Awareness: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies, and ability to apply safety training to recognize and react to hazards.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the retail food business, understanding of perishable department operations, merchandising skills, and ability to make timely decisions.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
The Produce Evening Supervisor may be part‑time or full‑time.

- Weekly Pay & Premium Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly; part‑time associates receive a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays; full‑time associates receive time and a half on those days.
