Position Summary
This role is a Tire and Battery Center (TBC) Associate responsible for maintaining safety, organization, customer service, and sales excellence in the TBC area at Sam’s Club.
What you'll do- Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards by adhering to all safety policies, conducting regular safety sweeps, and promptly reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
- Present and maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; remove damaged goods, sign and price merchandise, and secure fragile and high‑shrink items.
- Monitor tire and battery orders daily, assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead time changes and cancellations, and suggest alternatives; assist with tire maintenance and repair services.
- Provide expert member service by greeting members, identifying needs, and recommending the safest and most suitable tire and battery products, explaining warranties, and ensuring the best service and value.
- Drive sales and service excellence by communicating product and service value and collaborating with associates to promote TBC offerings.
- Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays using Sam’s Garage; understand service time requirements and prioritize appointments to maximize efficiency.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety, compliance, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, POS, phone, and in‑person selling techniques.
- Leverage technology to enhance operations and engagement with digital tools and handheld devices for sales planning, real‑time decisions, product information, and team member adoption of new tools.
- Serve as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service, develop and influence team members, and assist in training when roadblocks arise.
- Operate TBC equipment safely, receive, store, and dispose of merchandise and supplies, complete and maintain documents, process member purchases, and handle returns, refunds, and exchanges with appropriate procedures.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, including the Open Door Policy, and apply them in all business processes.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using data and resources, collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners, communicating progress, recommending improvement opportunities, and adapting to change.

- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Auto service industry experience.
- Retail experience.

Hourly Compensation$19.00 - $27.00 per hour* (actual rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location). Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
