Role Description The Assistant Manager role at The Buckle, Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Eau Claire, WI. This role supports daily store operations, including overseeing sales floor activities, ensuring excellent guest service, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. The Assistant Manager helps lead and motivate the team, assists with training and coaching teammates, and contributes to scheduling and task delegation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring store performance, supporting inventory management and stock replenishment, and upholding loss prevention and safety policies. The role also collaborates with store leadership to drive sales, implement promotional initiatives, and foster a positive, engaging work environment aligned with Buckle's mission.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in retail sales, guest service, and relationship building in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience with team leadership, coaching, and basic people management in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to handle store operations, including cash handling, inventory support, and adherence to loss prevention procedures.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comfort with basic technology used in retail (point-of-sale systems, scheduling tools, and email).
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
  • Previous retail or supervisory experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is typically expected.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move merchandise when needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
