FT Security Officer career opportunity at MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care. This is a part of MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. Opening Fall 2026.

• Work Shift:

• Protect and serve MUSC Health Pee Dee Division patients, staff, and visitors, and monitor and protect facilities and assets.
• Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two‑way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.
• Patrol facilities and grounds.
• Provide emergency assistance and response.
• Interact with patients, families, visitors, law enforcement and correctional officers.
• Support MUSC Health staff with issues involving security and safety concerns.
• Complete detailed notes based on observations, conduct security investigations and interviews, and write detailed reports regarding incidents and events.

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or 10 direct years of job‑related experience.
• Experience: Minimum One (1) year relevant experience or appropriate preferred education requirements. Preferred experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement.

  Minimum valid driver’s license in the State of SC;
  Handle with Care Crisis De‑escalation course.
• Completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six (6) months of hire (Preferred).
