Hours: 12.75-17 hours per week
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 3:45pm-8:00pm and every other Sat 7:15 AM–11:30 AM

About the RoleLutheran Social Services is seeking a Part‑Time Human Service Specialist to support our Community Transition Team in the Eau Claire area. This role is ideal for students or early‑career professionals interested in criminal justice

- Administer and observe urinalysis, breathalyzer tests, oral fluid swabs, and sweat patch testing.
- Provide services aligned with each client’s service plan.
- Participate in recovery teams and provide feedback on client progress.
- Assist with medication monitoring (non‑prescriber tasks such as delivery, education, and compliance support).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with LSS, regulatory, and payer standards.
- Collaborate with clients, service teams, and supervisors to determine effective interventions.
- Maintain client records and make recommendations within scope of practice.
- Attend client meetings, staff development sessions, and clinical supervision.
- Testify in legal proceedings when required.
- Work a flexible schedule based on client needs, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet LSS driving/insurance requirements.
- Ability to complete required background, caregiver, medical, and program‑specific checks.
- Ability to read, write, and document services clearly and accurately.
- Basic computer proficiency, including electronic health records and email.
- One (1) year of related work experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in crisis situations, including verbal aggression.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfort working in community settings, including homes, offices, and outdoor environments.
- Ability to navigate changing software and technology systems.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and stair climbing.
- Ability to travel daily within the community; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Moderate noise environment; exposure to outdoor conditions during travel.
