Adult Residential Support Professional - PT - 2nd Shift

Location

Fahrman Center – 42‑bed adult residential treatment facility

Schedule: Two nights a week from 2 PM – 10 PM and every other weekend. Base pay $16/hr with shift differentials: $2/hr for 2nd/3rd shift M‑F, $3/hr for 1st/2nd weekend shift, $4/hr for 3rd weekend shift.

Job Summary

Under supervision, performs care, services, and treatment of clients seeking services in addictions and restorative justice. Supports, interacts with, and monitors residents within established policies, providing positive role‑modeling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports, interacts with, and monitors residents within established policies and procedures, providing positive role modeling
  • Records observations relating to actions and behavior of residents and maintains records and reports as required
  • Performs general housekeeping and cleaning duties, manages laundry equipment and distributes clothing, bedding, and other supplies
  • Provides medication monitoring or medication administration as outlined in program policies
  • Provides information concerning status of clients to external partners within established guidelines while maintaining confidentiality
  • Identifies emergencies or crisis situations and responds appropriately
  • Maintains awareness of clinical treatment plan and supports residents in achieving goals
  • Works independently and problem‑solves efficiently
  • Attends staff meetings and participates in training activities as required
  • Maintains confidential client information and records
  • May assist with meal preparation and other life skills for residents
  • May assist with grocery shopping for the facility
  • May transport residents to meetings, services, appointments, and other activities
  • May collect urine specimens for urinalysis and administer breathalyzer tests
  • May provide educational group activities within program‑specified parameters
  • May administer basic first aid as needed
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED. Related experience or college credits in social work, human services, psychology, or similar may be required.

Experience: Preferred previous work experience providing similar services.

Licenses &

Certifications:

Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; motor vehicle check on satisfactory record. Training in DHS 83 (fire safety, first aid, medication administration) preferred; required after hire.

Other

Skills:

Standard reading, writing, math, and problem‑solving skills; ability to follow direction and maintain professional boundaries; patience, self‑control, flexibility.

Language: Effective verbal and written communication.

Computer: Working knowledge of computer systems and applications for timecards, email, HRIS, and EHR.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Stand, bend/stoop, crouch, kneel, use stairs, and walk frequently. Work in a community‑based residential environment with exposure to outdoor conditions (snow shoveling, yard care). Noise is moderate.

Travel

Daily local travel to transport clients as needed; up to 25‑50% day trips.
