Overnight Medical Delivery Driver

Overnight Saturday and Sunday shift: 11:45 pm–8:00 am. Pay: $16 per hour with a $1 differential for hours between 10:00 pm–5:00 am.

• Spend the majority of the shift driving a company-owned vehicle while safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Operate a hand‑held scanning device to accurately track items throughout the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre‑and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicle.
• Handle routes that vary by client and business needs; be able to perform all duties across all assigned routes, with assignments subject to change.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture.
• Drive a non‑commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Perform drop‑off and pick‑up responsibilities while handling varying item weights and physical demands.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and ability to adapt to it.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Pass an initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination as required by location and local mandates.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and lift items off storage racks.
• Comfortable walking long distances and standing for extended periods of time.
• Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record review.
