We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for Residential Care Workers to join a committed team within a residential care setting located in Abertillery and the Newport Valleys.

This service supports children and young people aged 4 to 16 years with additional learning needs, including diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and various forms of trauma. We are seeking compassionate, patient, and dedicated individuals who are enthusiastic about building a rewarding career in the care sector.

Flexibility is essential for this role, as the organisation operates a rota of two days on, four days off, including sleep-in shifts.

Applicants should be confident working within a home environment tailored to these specific needs and capable of following guidance from senior staff whilst fostering positive, trusting relationships with young people, who greatly benefit from continuity and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting key workers with activity preparation
• Providing one-to-one support to children requiring additional assistance
• Leading group activities
• Assisting class teachers with pupil observations
