Accounts Payable Specialist

Winnebago Industries is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in either Eden Prairie, MN or Forest City, IA. This role is hybrid. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing accounts payable invoices consistent with company policy and controls. This role may require internal and external escalations to ensure invoices are approved, posted, and paid in a timely manner and be responsible for reconciling vendor statements and following up on discrepancies.

• Process invoices timely and accurately, through Medius AP workflow, Microsoft 365, mainframe computer systems, and related AP automation tools.
• Prepare incoming invoices for payment. Includes making decisions on approval routing and coding in certain cases.
• Discrepancies, such as quantity variances, incorrect unit of measure conversions, and pricing are communicated in a timely, collaborative, and professional manner.
• Review assigned vendor statements on a monthly basis and investigate past due invoices.
• Handle vendor calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner. Any problems should be resolved timely.
• Review the Accrued Purchases report; identify and research items past 60 days.
• Review the Trade Payables report; identify vendors with debit balances to assist in collection requests.
• Document vendors submitting non-conforming invoices and assist with communication of such to Purchasing.
• Assist with improving process documentation.
• Other duties as assigned based on business needs.

• A minimum of a 2-year degree in accounting or a related field is preferred for this position.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable, accounts receivable or accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred or other, such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft office products including Excel are required.

This posting includes a range of the salary across a geographical market. The base pay for this position ranges from $45,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $60,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
