Senior International Accounting Manager
Salary Range: $144,000 - $175,000
The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary
The Senior International Accounting Manager serves as the primary headquarters accounting manager for Zinpro's international entities and oversees four regional Finance Managers and US-based international accountant. The position supports countries managed through third-party accounting firms as well as Zinpro-staffed countries, leading finance, accounting, tax, compliance, reporting, and process improvement activities internationally. The role partners with local accounting firms, legal advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and compliance with local and global requirements.
During the first six months, this role will overlap with and shadow the current position holder to support a smooth transition ahead of their planned retirement.
Essential Functions
Strategy
- Support the CFO and Accounting Director with strategic international projects, build out of monthly financial reviews, and ad hoc analysis to effectively communicate financial information.
- Assist with international company structures, new entity setups, and criteria for entering new countries.
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues related to international operations and assess the impact of evolving standards.
- Provide analysis and forecasts for currency hedging programs and other international finance initiatives.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation, calculations, and related compliance requirements across applicable jurisdictions.
Lead International Accounting Team
- Manage International Finance Managers and US-based accountant to support international accounting execution across regions.
- Provide support on issues as they arise. Assess performance to ensure alignment with corporate policies & objectives.
- Review monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and cashflow for accuracy & compliance.
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Main Accounting Contact for Third-Party Accounting Firms
- Serve as the main finance, accounting, and tax contact for international entities supported by third-party accounting firms.
- Coordinate and ensure statutory compliance, tax filings, audits, business registrations, permits, renewals, and governance matters with local firms, legal advisors, and external partners.
- Review and approve monthly financial statements, trial balances, account reconciliations, payroll, vendor payments, tax remittances, and intercompany transactions.
- Support business operations through document signings, contract support, and timely resolution of finance, tax, and accounting issues.
Global Execution
- Oversee and ensure compliance with international tax requirements, service agreements, transfer pricing, VAT-related matters, and global banking approvals.
- Monitor foreign currency impacts and ensure proper translation, remeasurement, and financial statement presentation.
- Support HR and local operations with finance-related needs, including employee matters, vehicle purchases, leases, or allowances.
- Review and approve account reconciliations in Blackline and annual G&A budgets for international regions, including payroll, tax, and audit support costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant international or multinational environments in various currencies.
- 6+ years of people management.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory requirements, transfer pricing, and international tax compliance.
- Experience managing third-party accounting providers
- Experience with transfer pricing and international tax compliance
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and reporting or reconciliation tools such as Blackline and PowerBI.
