Job Description – Executive Assistant, UHG Communications (2370068)

This role serves as a trusted partner to the UHG Communications team and senior leaders, enabling leaders to operate effectively, prioritize competing demands, and advance key business objectives.
Success in this role requires strong judgment, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to manage confidential information in a complex environment. The candidate will support senior leaders in a fast‑paced setting, providing executive support, communications coordination, event management, project execution, and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support calendar management for several members of the communications leadership team with complex schedules.
  • Assist with travel and expense reporting for six members of the communications leadership team, including reconciling and submitting reports.
  • Be a critical team member in implementing the Enterprise Communications employee experience by facilitating larger cross‑business team meetings.
  • Oversee on‑site office logistics in the Eden Prairie headquarters, including managing office supply inventory and helping onboard new employees.
  • Manage on‑site team‑building activities in the Eden Prairie headquarters, including planning events, ordering food on key dates and supporting the team as needed.
  • Assist with creating and editing PowerPoint presentations, e‑mail communications, and reports.
  • Maintain a vast paper and electronic filing system.
  • Determine priority of matters of attention for the communications leadership team; redirect matters to staff or handle matters personally as appropriate.
  • Handle printing, copying, mailing/overnight packages of materials.
  • Monitor and support progress of key business and operational activities.
  • Request follow‑ups and take follow‑up actions to support project deliverables.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience providing support in an executive environment and interactions with individuals at all levels inside and outside of Communications.
  • Experience with fast‑paced, externally facing organizations (Communications, Marketing, Government/Public Affairs).
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Preferred Qualification
  • 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting c‑suite level executives.
Pay & Benefits

Pay is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. Hourly pay for this role ranges from $34‑$60 per hour for full‑time employment. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility requirements).
