Job Overview

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be an essential member of our team, playing an important role in working with our clinical team. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments using dental software, verifying insurance, assisting patients with questions, and managing patient records. Your role is key to ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every patient. You’ll also provide top-tier customer service to everyone who contacts our office.

Compensation

Compensation: $17.00 per hour, plus an unlimited bonus program based on performance.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Greet patients by phone, assist with scheduling in our software system (FUSE), and create a welcoming and professional experience.
  • Maintain and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly appointment calendar to ensure efficient clinic flow.
  • Upload relevant documentation into each patient’s profile accurately and promptly.
  • Verify that all dental insurance coverage is current and active for each appointment.
  • Ensure dental histories are correct and complete within the patient record.
  • Obtain insurance benefit information and verify eligibility.
  • Register new patients and ensure all records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Copy, scan, and upload documents into patient charts.
  • Request and process patient record transfers as needed.
  • Log all patient communications and concerns into charts or internal logs.
  • Contact patients to confirm or reschedule follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain the highest level of patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys working with people.
  • Proficient computer skills (typing 50-60 words per minute).
  • Being bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong is a plus.
Hours

8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST - with 1 hour lunch break rotating
