Inventory Specialist

Viking Forest Products is a leading commodity trading company within Forest City Trading Group, a $5 billion employee-owned distributor of forest products. Following record-breaking growth, we are seeking an Inventory Specialist to support our Crane Mat department.

This detail-focused role works closely with Inventory Managers and Traders to manage data entry, documentation, and transactional information. You’ll also play an important part in Viking’s transition to Dynamics 365.

• Order management and tracking
• Updating spreadsheets and key systems with transactional data such as expenses and sales revenues.
• Reaching out (phone calls / emails) to mills and reload facilities to collect Bill of Ladings (BOLs)
• Entering purchase orders and order confirmations into order management software
• Processing shipping invoices for payment

• Maintaining spreadsheets of jobs for traders
• Obtaining signed copies of rental agreements
• Track rental projects and assisting with inventory management
• Creating and facilitating of documents and Bill of Ladings

Bachelor or Associate’s degree from a college or technical school preferred.

• A numbers driven individual who possess a strong attention to detail with a focus in accuracy.
• Organized, reliable and dependable
• Comfortable with making outbound calls to mills and reload facilities
• An analytical and critical thinker who enjoys problem solving
• A desire to learn and ask questions
• Prior Dynamics 365 experience preferred, not required
