Southwest Region Chevrolet Auction Buyer

Walser Automotive Group is seeking a Southwest Region Chevrolet Auction Buyer to strategically source high-quality used Chevrolet vehicles for our Midwest dealerships. In this role, you'll research market trends, evaluate vehicle condition and history, and make data-driven bid decisions at physical and online auctions across the Southwest. You'll collaborate closely with sales and inventory leaders to match purchases with demand, manage transport logistics, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase used Chevrolet vehicles at auctions across the Southwest region to meet store inventory and mix targets.
• Evaluate vehicle condition, history, and market data to determine accurate bid and buy values within established budgets.
• Analyze regional pricing and sales trends to align buying strategy with demand, turn rates, and profitability goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with auction representatives, wholesalers, and other industry partners.
• Coordinate vehicle transportation logistics to Walser locations, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery and proper documentation.
• Partner with sales and inventory leaders to forecast needs, adjust buying plans, and resolve inventory gaps.
• Conduct post-purchase reviews to validate buying decisions and continuously refine appraisal and valuation practices.
• Ensure compliance with Walser policies, state regulations, and auction rules in all purchasing activities.
• Leverage digital auction platforms and appraisal tools to research, bid, and secure inventory efficiently.
• Prepare regular reports on purchases, performance metrics, and market insights for management review.
