Role Overview :
The Senior Automotive Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains customer vehicles in accordance with dealership, manufacturer, and company standards. They perform complex repairs, explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and team members, and recommend necessary services to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
Responsibilities Include- Diagnosing vehicles based on experience or certifications
- Executing repairs efficiently and accurately as outlined on inspection and repair orders
- Performing heavy-duty and complex repairs
- Communicating technical issues and repair needs clearly to non-mechanical personnel
- Advising customers on necessary services and documenting recommendations
- Following safety procedures, adhering to policies, and reporting hazards
- Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience or ASE certifications
- Proficiency with computerized diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license and minimum age of 18
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, stand for extended periods, perform bending, stooping, and lifting up to 70 pounds, with good vision and manual dexterity. Use of PPE and safety protocols is required.
