American Indian Coordinator
Eden Prairie Schools is seeking an American Indian Coordinator to support American Indian and Alaska Native students in reaching their full potential through meaningful, culturally affirming, and targeted educational experiences. This position will work closely with students, families, staff, and community partners, and create strong connections across the district. The American Indian Coordinator will help eliminate achievement disparities and will lead the implementation of the district's American Indian Education Plan and state aid goals.

Qualifications:
- Education/Certification:
BS/BA in Education, or related field, preferred - Desired
Experience:
Experience working with American Indian students and their families - Experience in family outreach and adult/parent engagement
- Prior experience working in a K-12 educational environment
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information
Qualifications:
- Strong desire and skill to work with American Indian students and families
- High level of organizational skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Background and knowledge of American Indian culture, history, and current socio-political ideas and priorities
- Ability to manage state and federal budgets, including development of program plan and tying it to a budget, managing all transactions, and reporting monthly to AIPAC
Salary and Benefit Package:
- Salary/year:
Prorated to start date $76,237 based on the EPSS Employment Agreement (EPSS Level IV) - Hours Per Day: 8 hours a day
- Days Per Week: 5 days
- Days Per Year: 260 days
- Vacation: 20 days a year
- Holidays: 12 paid holidays each year
- Life Insurance:
Life insurance fully paid by the employer for an amount equal to twice the employee's annual salary - Long Term Disability Insurance:
Long term disability fully paid by the employer - Medical/Hospitalization:
Medical/hospitalization insurance available per EPSS agreement - District contribution up to $1,673.00 per month for family coverage
- Dental Insurance:
Dental insurance is fully paid by the employer for single or family coverage - Sick Leave: 14 days per year cumulative to 254 days
- Tuition Reimbursement: 50% tuition for up to 9 credits per fiscal year for pre-approved coursework
