The Major Project Sr Civil and Structural Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Eden Prairie, MN. This position is responsible for leading and executing civil and structural engineering activities for large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects, from early concept through detailed design and construction. The role involves developing and reviewing engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications; coordinating with external engineering partners and contractors;
and ensuring that all civil and structural elements comply with safety, regulatory, and company standards. The engineer will participate in site assessments, support construction oversight, perform design reviews, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams. Daily activities include managing engineering deliverables, tracking progress against project schedules and budgets, and providing technical guidance to stakeholders to ensure project quality and structural integrity.
- Strong civil and structural engineering skills, including experience with steel and concrete design, foundations, and industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with engineering design and analysis tools (e.g., structural analysis software, CAD/BIM platforms) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Experience in project execution, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing engineering deliverables, and supporting construction activities.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documentation, prepare clear reports and drawings, and review contractor and vendor submittals.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; advanced degree or professional licensure (e.g., PE or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
- Background in large industrial, chemical, energy, or manufacturing facilities is an advantage, as is experience with global or multi-site projects.
