Electrical Design Engineering Intern

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Work with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, software, and systems engineers—to support the design and development of Emerson’s Automation Solutions products from concept through production.

• Utilize industry-standard electrical design tools to capture circuit schematics and perform simulations to ensure design integrity and performance

• Perform a variety of electronic testing using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators to validate and troubleshoot designs.

• Research and develop new ideas, tools, and technologies that contribute to product innovation and continuous improvement.

• Evaluate Emerson systems and electronic circuits at both the functional block and component level to gain a deeper understanding of system architecture and performance.

• You are a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can set and achieve goals. You are interested in learning problem solving and collaborating well with others. You take personal responsibility for decisions and actions and are willing to take feedback. You communicate effectively in various settings (e.g. one-on-one, groups, and written).

• Pursuing bachelor’s in engineering

• Zero (0) years of applicable experience

• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN)

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• GPA of 3.0 or above

• Prior internship experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

  The hourly pay for this role is $24-$28, commensurate with the year in school and experience each candidate brings to a role.
