Sr. IT Project Manager - Contractor

We are seeking a highly capable, execution-driven Senior Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of strategic business and IT initiatives. This individual will operate as a true project leader — driving delivery, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring measurable outcomes across multiple concurrent initiatives.

The environment is fast-paced and growth-oriented. The right candidate will bring structure, governance, and momentum while reducing executive workload and elevating overall project execution maturity.

This engagement is structured as a 6–7 month contract with the opportunity for extension based on project pipeline and performance.

This role will support a balanced portfolio of business and IT initiatives
, including:

• Organizational and operational improvement initiatives
• Business intelligence structuring and reporting efforts
• Preparation and coordination of an upcoming ERP-related RFI
• Oversight of 2–3 concurrent third-party system implementations
• Support for infrastructure and technical project initiatives
• Cross-functional programs spanning business and IT teams

*** You will not be stepping into a purely administrative role — you will be expected to take ownership and drive outcomes.

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management (initiation through close)
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
• Establish governance structures and ensure project discipline
• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and dependencies
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and executive steering discussions
• Drive stakeholder alignment across business and technical teams
• Ensure vendors and third parties remain accountable to scope and timelines
• Elevate project management standards and best practices

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in complex environments
• Demonstrated experience leading both business and IT initiatives
• Proven track record delivering system implementations (ERP or third-party systems strongly preferred)
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
• Strong executive presence and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across departments

• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
• Exposure to ERP selection processes (RFI/RFP participation or leadership)
• Experience supporting business intelligence or data initiatives
• Background working on infrastructure-related projects
