Job Description:
1. Role Summary
The Oracle Communications Cloud Application Server (OCCAS) SIP Developer designs, builds, and operates SIP-based applications within the OMNIChannel platform, focusing on session management, SIP routing, SIPREC recording flows, and integrations across SBCs, Amazon Connect, and AI-driven systems.
This role is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle delivery-from SIP application development through production operations-ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance of enterprise voice and recording platforms.
2. Core Responsibilities
A. SIP Application Development (OCCAS)
* Design, develop, and maintain OCCAS-based SIP applications
* Session handling, routing logic, and dialog control
* Implement features such as:
* Header manipulation and normalization
* Routing logic updates and dial plan control
* Session orchestration and failover behavior
* Optimize SIP flows for performance, resiliency, and scalability
B. SIPREC & Recording Integration
* Build and maintain SIPREC-based recording and media flows across:
* OCCAS session manager
* SBCs and Media Hub
* Recording platforms (e.g., NICE, Qfiniti, Pindrop, Google Dialogflow)
* Implement:
* SIPREC routing logic
* Multi-stream recording (agent/customer separation)
* Metadata and RTP handling
* Troubleshoot complex SIPREC scenarios:
* Re-INVITE flows
* Call recording failures
* Session looping and high CPS conditions
C. SBC & SIP Transport Integration
* Integrate OCCAS applications with SBC infrastructure:
* Routing, normalization, TLS enforcement
* SIP trunking and carrier interconnects
* Support:
* SIP signaling security (TLS/mTLS)
* DoS mitigation and traffic shaping
* SIP transport reliability across data centers
D. CI/CD & Dev Sec Ops
* Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for:
* Build, test, and deployment automation
* Ensure:
* Automated testing and validation
* Code quality and security scanning
* Drive:
* Trunk-based development
* Safe release and rollback strategies
E. Testing & Validation
* Develop and execute:
* Unit, integration, and end-to-end SIP testing
* Validate:
* SIP signaling flows and session behavior
* SIPREC recording and metadata correctness
* Support load/performance testing (CPS, concurrency)
F. Production Support & Operations
* Provide L3/L4 support for:
* SIP errors (4xx/5xx/6xx)
* Session failures and routing issues
* Perform:
* Root cause analysis (RCA)
* Incident resolution and post-mortems
* Build runbooks and automation for operational readiness
G. Platform Integration (Contact Center & AI)
* Integrate SIP layer with:
* Amazon Connect
* Genesys
* AI/Bot platforms (Google CCAI, Lex, etc.)
* Enable:
* Agent-assist (SIPREC dual streams)
* AI-driven routing and analytics
* Bot-to-agent escalation flows

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
* Strong hands-on experience with:
* SIP protocol (RFC 3261 and related RFCs)
* SIPREC standards and implementation
* Expertise in:
* Java / J2EE / SIP Servlets (OCCAS/Web Logic)
* Deep understanding of:
* Call flows, SDP, RTP media handling
* SIP dialog/state management
Platform Experience
* Proven experience with:
* Oracle OCCAS (or equivalent SIP application server)
* SBC platforms (Oracle, Audiocodes, Acme Packet, etc.)
* Familiarity with:
* Media Hub / recording architecture
* Contact center platforms (Amazon Connect, Genesys, Cisco UCCE)
Dev Ops & Cloud
* Experience with:
* CI/CD tools (Git Hub, Jenkins)
* Infrastructure as code
* Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
* Understanding of cloud platforms:
* AWS preferred
Troubleshooting & Observability
* Expertise using:
* Wireshark / SIP traces / SIP ladder diagrams
* Strong debugging skills in:
* High-volume, real-time SIP environments
* Experience with:
* Logging, monitoring, and observability tools

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in:
* Large-scale SIP platforms (multi-cluster OCCAS deployments ~100+ engines)
* Knowledge of:
* Telecom standards (3
GPP, IMS)
* Experience with:
* AI/ML voice integrations (agent assist, analytics)
* Familiarity with:
* PCI / compliance-driven call recording environments
