Contract Project Manager – Food R&D / Commercialization

Duration: 6 Months | Immediate Start

We are seeking a strong Project Manager to support Food R&D and commercialization initiatives within a fast-paced CPG/manufacturing environment. This role will manage a portfolio of cross-functional operational and strategic projects, ensuring execution discipline, risk visibility, and leadership alignment.

• Lead a portfolio of concurrent Food R&D and operational initiatives
• Drive project prioritization, sequencing, and resource alignment
• Facilitate Stage Gate and portfolio review meetings with senior leadership
• Present risks, trade-offs, financial impact, and execution updates to Directors and VPs
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, FSQ/QA, Engineering, Finance, Planning, Transportation, CI, and Marketing
• Implement and maintain risk, issue, and decision tracking processes
• Support margin improvement, alternative sourcing, cost savings, and commercialization readiness initiatives
• Ensure on-time delivery across projects ranging from short-term initiatives to longer enterprise programs

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within Food, CPG, or Manufacturing
• Experience supporting commercialization, margin improvement, or enterprise operations initiatives
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills
• Experience with Stage Gate governance and portfolio management
• Comfortable managing 20+ concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with project management tools (Smart Sheets or similar preferred)
