Accounting & Administration Manager

CSI Creative and Plantscape are at an exciting inflection point. We are a successful, growing business known for designing and fabricating world‑class acoustic solutions and biophilic greenery for brands like Google, Disney, Amazon, and Hilton.

We are looking for a hands‑on leader to succeed a long‑tenured administrator who helped build this business. We need someone who can respect the foundation we have built while designing the systems we need for our next phase of growth.

In this role, you will balance two critical objectives:
maintaining the excellence of our current operations and building the systems we need to scale.

• Financial Management: Own the day‑to‑day books (AP, AR, GL, Banking) with precision. You will lead the month‑end close and provide the Owners with clear financial reporting and visibility.
• Job Costing Analysis: We are a custom manufacturer, not a commodity seller. You will track labor and materials against specific projects to ensure we are profitable on every job.
• Process Improvement: Transform manual tasks into scalable processes. Whether it’s streamlining our Job Costing, digitizing HR onboarding, or improving inventory tracking—your job is to make the business run faster and smarter.
• HR & Administration: Run bi‑weekly payroll and benefits administration flawlessly. You will also serve as the "Office Lead," managing facility vendors (IT, cleaning, landlord) and supporting company culture (events, onboarding).
• Compliance & Risk: Review vendor and client contracts against our standard terms to protect the company. You will also manage business insurance renewals and state tax compliance.

  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. (Finance or Business Administration degrees will only be considered with significant relevant accounting experience).
• Required Experience: 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. We are looking for someone who has been trained in a rigorous environment (Public Accounting or Corporate Finance) and is ready to lead their own department.
• The Industry Fit: Experience in Manufacturing, Construction, or Architecture is highly preferred. You must understand "WIP," "Inventory Valuation," and why Job Costing matters.
• The Builder Mindset: You are the type of person who sees a manual process and thinks, "There has to be a better way." You love creating checklists, workflows, and systems that make life easier for everyone.
• The Attitude: You are humble enough to do the data entry but ambitious enough to want to lead the department. You are organized, approachable, and "Minnesota Nice" but firm when it comes to protecting the business.
