In the Optum Insight Provider Market, we help providers optimize financial performance, enhance clinical decisions, and accelerate growth. The General Manager, Clinical Solutions, is charged with developing and executing strategic and commercial plans to achieve above market growth in delivering solutions to our customers, helping them improve care and quality. Responsible for delivering on approximately $250M annual revenue. Attainment of these business objectives will be achieved through leadership competencies and practices including operational excellence, being the voice of the market, the ability to scale the business, lead in a matrix environment and drive growth by collaborating across other divisions.

Serves as a member of the Provider Market business senior leadership team and contributes to the overall success of the business to drive the business unit.

The General Manager position requires an individual who understands how to get things done at Optum through influence by leveraging their extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills. In addition, you must have experience in strategic planning, execution, building relationships and working with executives at all levels. The General Manager will have solid critical thinking skills, demonstrated success in driving complex strategies, outstanding cross group organizational skills and agility, and effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Additionally, the General Manager will have a proven track record of having run a large P&L, operations, product innovation, and revenue & profitability growth. You should also enjoy setting stretch goals and be flexible with the ability to tolerate and manage ambiguity and uncertainty.

* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires within 30 minutes of an office in Minnesota or Washington, D.C., you'll be required to work a minimum of four days per week in-office.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide overall business leadership for the Optum Insight Clinical Solutions business, including Value Connect, Interqual, and Crimson AI

* Deliver against business results: revenue and IOI targets

* Formulate business strategy, financial plans and execution plans for the business and be responsible for the business P&L, generating YoY double digit growth, both organic and inorganic. Build business cases for new segments and product strategies

* Expand product offerings, generate additional revenue opportunities, improve the customer experience, and enhance the infrastructure by leveraging existing and modern technologies with an AI-first mindset

* Shape product strategy; ensure alignment with roadmap and capital allocation

* Lead domain business reviews (forecasts, objectives, status updates)

* Engage with customers on high-impact opportunities

* Provide end-to-end thought leadership, insight, and influence around Optum Insight's enterprise-wide strategy. Help identify and exploit synergies and market opportunities for Optum Insight

* Collaborate across OI to drive organizational efficiencies and alignment and to develop the infrastructure for future growth. Effectively work across the matrix to shepherd the mindset and cultural shift needed to create a more streamlined process while the organization transforms to a more cloud-first, AI-first, SaaS based business

* Develop an end-to-end process for development, implementation, use, reporting and feedback on solution offerings - collaborating with other product groups, distribution channels, and specialist areas, as necessary

* Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies to achieve and surpass sales and profitability goals for the Clinical Solutions business. Drive GTM execution across domain team and functional partners

* Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to enable the rapid growth objectives of our organization

* Recommend and champion strategies and tactics designed to positively impact key drivers, such as price, risk profile, utilization, activation, attrition, and revenue, to ensure P&L and market share goals are achieved
