Compounding Operator I
The Compounding Operator I performs extrusion processes based on specifications provided by engineering. Following process sheets and supervisor instructions, they complete production tasks and inspect results to ensure they meet predetermined tolerances.
Responsibilities- Sets up and operates a variety of machines used in the production of the company's materials
- Responsible to meet the established production schedule for each assigned line of material
- Will feed materials for processing, mix resin based on specified work instructions from engineering
- Adjusting settings based on documented specifications and tolerances
- Performing minor repairs and troubleshooting and pulling finished product from the line
- Documentation of all line data sheets on individual assigned lines
- Identify and report issues with quality and out of specification filament
- Maintain a 5S work cell
- Maintain other work in assigned areas during periods of downtime or extended product run time
- Maintain all process certifications for packaging and extrusion
- 2-4 years in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of computers to be able to: send and receive emails, use ADP/HR management systems
- Ability to read and understand work instructions to be able to achieve production goals
- Demonstrated experience on extrusion lines
For this position, the typical starting pay rate is from $22 to $25 per hour, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
