Job Summary
The Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly of precision components within Savillex’s ICP Sample Introduction and Lab Analytical product lines. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with assemblies and electronic controllers in a regulated manufacturing environment.
In addition to hands-on assembly, the Assembly Technician supports quality processes, documentation, inspections, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure products meet Savillex’s high standards for quality, performance, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble Savillex products accurately and efficiently
- Support inspection and quality activities, including incoming material inspection
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Review and follow SOPs and Work Instructions; assist with updates as needed
- Participate in new part qualifications and process improvements
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and RMA processing
- Support customer audits and responses to non-conformances when requested
- Coordinate and track equipment calibration activities
- Communicate production status to support on-time shipments
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and support quality initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Ability to read and interpret specifications
- Understanding of quality standards, procedures, and regulated manufacturing practices
- Experience assembling devices (medical device experience a plus)
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Work with high temp ovens
