Group Lead

Location:

Eden Prairie, MN

Compensation: $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday (Friday as needed). Leaders are expected to arrive ~30 minutes early and stay ~30 minutes after shift.

About the Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Group Lead for a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met or exceeded.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead daily production activities to meet or exceed production schedules, quality standards, and safety goals.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance updates.
  • Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing tools.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring OSHA and company standards are followed.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members while driving engagement and accountability.
  • Ensure SOPs, work instructions, and quality systems are followed and properly documented.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain production efficiency.
What You Need to Bring:
  • Minimum of 2 years of production leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, continuous improvement, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at a college level.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in manufacturing or a technical field.
