Position SummaryThe Electrical Control Panel Assembler is responsible for the assembly, wiring, and testing of industrial electrical control panels in accordance with engineering documentation, electrical schematics, and/or point‑to‑point wiring diagrams. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions accurately.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble electrical control panels and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Physically mount electrical components such as:
- Circuit breakers
- Relays and contractors
- Terminal blocks
- Power supplies
- PLCs and control devices
- Enclosures and DIN rail systems
- Perform point‑to‑point wiring based on:
- Electrical schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Bills of materials (BOM)
- Work instructions
- Cut, strip, crimp, label, and terminate wires according to specifications.
- Ensure proper routing and securing of wiring within panels.
- Verify accuracy of completed assemblies against documentation.
- Perform basic electrical testing and continuity checks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with engineering, supervisors, and quality personnel regarding questions or discrepancies.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience using hand tools and basic electrical assembly tools.
- Understanding of electrical components and wiring practices.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Previous experience assembling industrial control panels.
- Familiarity with UL standards and electrical codes.
- Experience with wire labeling systems and cable management best practices.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Manufacturing / production environment.
- Use of hand tools and electrical assembly equipment.
- Requires standing, bending, and light to moderate lifting.
Compensation is from $27.06 to $35.22 hourly. Compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
