Production Manager
RESPONSIBIITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinate production work orders with material and equipment availability, employee count, and order due-dates; assign tasks to employees; ensure materials and equipment are available.
- Provide technical advice and be responsible for the accuracy of production operations completed.
- Communicate effectively with Staff and Management on work plans, duty assignments, and production decision making; solve production problems in a timely manner.
- Act as key contact between production floor activities and Manufacturing & Process Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.
- Champion Lean initiatives and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Provide training and coaching as required to all employees in conjunction with the Manufacturing Manager.
- Maintain employee training records and keep them current.
- Address employee problems with support from Human Resources.
- Communicate safety policies and requirements and ensure all employees and processes are operating safely.
- Coordinate 5S and good housekeeping practices among employees.
- Ensure smooth, efficient flow of products through cooperation with other department supervisors.
- Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for new employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality.
- Proficient in PC and widely used software packages such as Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and SAP.
- Ability to learn new software packages as needed.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, and maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
- Ability to learn new duties and adjust to new situations within a reasonable time.
- Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all organizational levels.

Interacts with scheduling, shipping/receiving, supply chain, manufacturing & process engineering, maintenance, sales/customer service, quality, and human resources on a regular basis.
SCHEDULE:
6:00 am–6:30 pm, Friday‑Sunday
BASE PAY RANGE:$68,000 – $90,000
COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE:At Phillips and Temro Industries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location. The final salary offer will be based on these criteria and may differ depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

Education
Bachelors of Management (preferred)
Experience
5 years:
Progressive lead experience reflecting a strong, ongoing commitment to training and team‑environment concepts with the ability to meet deadlines (preferred).
3 – 5 years:
Progressive experience in factory operations and/or supervision (required).
