Education Requirements
  • One year of trade school preferred
Experience Requirements
  • Three years of machine shop experience or equivalent training
  • Experience with CNC machining operations and machine setup
  • Ability to read and interpret machining blueprints and specifications
  • Knowledge of machining tolerances, measuring equipment, tooling selection, and machine operation
  • Must be able to pass a 7-year background check
Job Duties
  • Perform CNC machining operations on a variety of parts and components
  • Complete machine setups accurately and efficiently
  • Inspect finished parts for tolerances, surface finish, hardness, and material specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and machining prints
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Identify quality concerns and communicate findings to supervisors
  • Assist with workload demands, scheduling priorities, and cross-functional operations
  • Cross-train in multiple machine shop disciplines including CNC lathe, CNC mill, grinding, and manual machining equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred.
  • Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Machinist.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.

As a CNC Machinist you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. You will verify machine setups, inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, troubleshoot machining issues, maintain tooling, and support quality and production goals while following established safety and manufacturing procedures.
