Direct Placement Positions - 1st shift Pay up to 35/hr

The Press Brake Operator sets up and operates Cincinnati brake presses to fabricate sheet metal parts, ensuring accurate production, quality inspection, and support across various metal fabrication processes. This role involves working with metals, performing machine setup when capable, loading and unloading parts, and assisting with other equipment such as CNC mills, shears, and rollers in a job shop environment.

• Set up Cincinnati brake presses, including performing full machine setups when capable to meet production requirements.
• Operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal according to specifications and blueprints.
• Load and unload materials and finished parts from the brake press in a safe and efficient manner.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.
• Use tape measures, calipers, and hand tools to verify part dimensions and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Inspect parts during and after production to identify defects and confirm adherence to specifications.
• Assist in operating CNC mills and other fabrication equipment such as shears and rollers as needed.
• Work effectively in a job shop environment, adapting to varying projects and priorities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and best practices for machine operation.
• Collaborate with team members and support other areas of the fabrication process when required.

• Previous experience in brake press or sheet metal manufacturing.
• Ability to perform full setups on a brake press when required.
• Proficiency operating press brake machinery, including Cincinnati brake presses.
• Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret dimensions and fabrication requirements.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
• Experience working with sheet metal and fabrication processes.
• Competence in general machine operation within a manufacturing or job shop environment.
• Skill in using hand tools safely and effectively.

• Brake press experience preferred.
• Experience with punch press operation.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment and CNC mill operation.
• Experience in operating other fabrication equipment such as shears and rollers.
• Comfort working in a job shop setting with varied projects and tasks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
