Job Description
A growing high‑tech aerospace and electronics manufacturer located in Eden Prairie is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to support the inspection and verification of mission‑critical electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies used in advanced aerospace and space applications.
This is a hands‑on quality role working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams in a highly regulated aerospace environment.
Responsibilities- Perform receiving, in‑process, and final inspections on electronic assemblies, cable assemblies, and related hardware
- Verify products meet customer drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and internal procedures
- Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Support corrective actions and nonconformance investigations
- Perform floor audits and assist with internal quality audits
- Support calibration control and receiving inspection activities as needed
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation
- Use precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify compliance
- Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or electronics manufacturing quality inspection
- Hands‑on experience with:
- NASA STD 8739.1
- NASA STD 8739.4
- IPC/WHMA‑A‑620
- IPC‑A‑610
- J‑STD‑001
- Experience performing inspections on:
- PCB assemblies
- Cable/wire harness assemblies
- Electronic assemblies
- Experience conducting AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Knowledge of AS9100 or aerospace Quality Management Systems
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
- U.S. Citizenship required
