As an Inside Sales Manager, you will lead a high-performing team of inside sales representatives, driving strong sales execution and delivering profitable growth. In this role, you’ll ensure optimal coverage across key product lines, consistently meet or exceed sales targets, and develop strategies that support sustained business success. You’ll serve as both a coach and leader; recruiting, hiring, and developing top talent while inspiring your team to perform at their best, creating a results‑driven culture that delivers meaningful impact.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives, driving consistent sales growth through effective coaching, performance management, and both proven and innovative sales techniques.
- Set clear sales strategies, goals, and performance expectations; monitor results and hold the team accountable for achieving or exceeding targets.
- Ensure strong sales coverage and market share growth while partnering closely with area leaders to align sales activities, schedules, and operational priorities.
- Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and business plans to achieve revenue goals within established expense parameters.
- Foster collaboration across teams and locations, building strong relationships that support overall business objectives.
- Oversee day‑to‑day team operations, including providing direction, feedback, recognition, and ongoing performance evaluation to drive a high‑performing, team‑oriented culture.
- Protect all customer, employee, and company information by maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
- Support the growth and development of Regional Accounts.
- Perform other projects or duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 5–8 years of experience managing direct reports, preferably in an inside sales environment
- 5–8 years of sales experience with a focus on generating new business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others
- Ability to manage projects, prioritize work, and operate independently
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills
- High level of detail orientation with strong follow‑through
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive results with integrity and professionalism
- Self‑starter who takes initiative and accountability
