A&P Mechanic

The A&P Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of business jets. This role focuses on airframe, power plant, and avionics systems, as well as wheels, landing gear, interiors, and other aircraft components, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of business jets, which may include Cessna, Embraer, Bombardier, Gulfstream, and other corporate aircraft.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on airframe, power plant, avionics systems, wheels, landing gear, interiors, and other aircraft systems and components.
  • Independently identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical and avionics issues on business aircraft.
  • Perform repairs and installations of avionics systems when qualified and experienced to do so.
  • Follow all applicable aviation regulations, maintenance manuals, and company procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Use appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments to complete maintenance and repair tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory and company requirements, including maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to coordinate maintenance activities and meet operational schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the hangar and shop environments.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by following proven processes and contributing ideas to enhance quality and efficiency.

Essential Skills

  • Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • 2–3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on experience working on airframe and power plant systems.
  • Ability to independently identify and troubleshoot aircraft mechanical and avionics issues.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance on business or corporate jets is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of business aviation maintenance practices and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a maintenance team.

Work Environment

This role is based at a modern facility located at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, MN. The hangar is updated and semi–climate controlled, providing a comfortable and professional environment for maintenance work. You will work within a maintenance team of around 10 technicians, with plans to significantly grow the team by the end of the year, creating opportunities for collaboration and development.

Standard schedules are available on first and second shift, Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. The environment is focused on business aviation, using state-of-the-art tools, equipment, and processes to support a wide range of corporate aircraft. Dress expectations align with a professional hangar setting, emphasizing safety, practicality, and readiness to work on aircraft.

This is a Permanent position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr. Health Insurance Dental Sign on Relocation 401K
