• $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
• Part Time (Part-time/Temporary/Seasonal Status), Non-Exempt
• Reports to Senior Center Recreation Supervisor
• Located at Senior Center (8950 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie, MN). Will be driving to and from various parks and locations in Eden Prairie.
• Position runs May – August 2026; majority of shifts will be evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive a shuttle bus with passengers of all ages on a continuous route and make frequent stops to summer events such as Jazz Fest, People Fest, Summer Concert and Theater Events.
• Ensure passengers receive safe and timely transportation for special events and activities by following training and safety guidelines, protocols and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure riders receive a welcoming and positive experience.
• Complete pre-inspection and post-inspection of the bus and equipment and maintain driving logs.

While these areas are the primary focus of this position, employees may be called upon to perform a variety of duties as part of their role with the City.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Valid Driver’s License and an excellent driving record required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; at least 2 years of driving experience required, experience driving a bus preferred.
• Evening and weekend availability required.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull at least 50–70 lbs. and operate a motor vehicle; driving during evening hours/nighttime conditions required.
• Candidates must successfully complete and pass the City’s evaluation of the pre-employment process prior to their first day of employment. Pre-employment processes for this position include professional reference checks, background check, driver’s license check, work verification, pre-employment physical, and drug/alcohol test.
