POSITION SUMMARY
A Container Delivery Driver – Non CDL is responsible for safely operating a vehicle and providing prompt, courteous and complete container delivery and removal services for residential and/or commercial customers. The driver ensures vehicle compliance with company safety standards, adheres to Company, state, and federal regulations, and completes vehicle condition reports (VCRs) daily.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are operational, and report any safety issues.
- Safely operate a truck along designated routes, read route sheets, and service each customer as identified.
- Operate manual and automatic controls to lift and load containers at designated facilities.
- Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
- Perform minor repairs on containers on site or in the yard.
- Clean spill areas in accordance with safety standards.
- Continuously monitor vehicle condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the company’s ReSOP program.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Good customer‑service skills, professional and courteous toward customers and co‑workers.
- Good time‑management skills to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely.
- Strong follow‑through ability, adherence to work schedule, and addressing challenges as they arise.
- Ability to comply with company policies and promote safety standards without taking inappropriate risks.
- Maintains pride in work and strives to achieve goals.
- Valid driver’s license.
The pay range for this position is $19.40 to $26.67, reflecting the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
