Shipping Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor Outbound Delivery report daily to ensure orders are processed and shipped according to schedule.
• Complete shipping information to the customer via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), ASN (Advance Shipping Notification), Fax, Email, or Mail.
• Schedule and monitor customer-specified freight carriers for pickup of orders. Monitor and schedule Fed Ex orders (requires 24‑hour advance notification for pickup).
• Process request for freight quotes on pre‑paid and add‑on orders from customers.
• Communicate with carriers for updated ETAs and/or follow‑up.
• Log, research, and resolve freight and handling chargebacks.
• Review routing guides regularly and understand International account requirements to support accuracy of shipments.
• Prepare and process shipping documents for outbound materials.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities.
• Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Report delivery shortages and inventory discrepancies.
• Assist with packaging and labeling of materials for shipment.
• Perform regular audits of shipping procedures and processes.
• Handle Hazmat dangerous goods shipments in compliance with regulations.

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with ERP system (preferably SAP)
• 5+ years of experience in shipping, processing or a related warehouse environment

• Must have an acceptable attendance record
• Ability to become forklift certified; forklift experience preferred
• Ability to stand for 10‑hour shifts
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Base Pay Range: $20-$25

At Phillips and Temro Industries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the stated range. Your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location, and may differ based on the candidate's experience and qualifications and other job‑related reasons.
