Van Driver

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related programs using district-owned vans or other approved district vehicles.
• Routes may include transportation within Eden Prairie Schools and throughout the Twin Cities metro area; work with students, including those with special needs, requiring patience, professionalism, and consistent support.
• Follow a split-shift schedule with morning and afternoon route responsibilities; provide a minimum guarantee of 3.5 hours per day.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid MN driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment 5-panel drug screening; subject to district non-DOT random drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Ability to obtain required district certifications
• Ability to work split shifts between morning and afternoon routes
• Ability to safely operate vans and district vehicles in varying traffic and weather conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism; develop positive relationships with students and families
• Experience working with children or students; experience transporting passengers or driving professionally; experience working with students with special needs preferred

• Hours per day: 5
• Start and ending times: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 1:45 PM – 4:45 PM (exact times may vary by route)
• Working days per year: 178
