Position
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our 2nd shift at our Eden Prairie location.
Shift Schedule- 2nd Shift: 2 PM – 10 PM Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed.
- Pick and supply materials in a safe, timely, and organized manner, accurately and efficiently.
- Move and store materials in a safe, timely, and organized manner, accurately and efficiently.
- Process inventory transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Return to stock (RTS) as per company SOPs.
- Cycle count as per company standards.
- Understand and maintain a culture of lean action, eliminating waste.
- Implement and maintain standards and processes that reduce waste throughout the department.
- Apply lean tools to permanently improve processes.
- Institutionalize 5‑S in all aspects of the department (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least one year of experience in material and product handling.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency operating all material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong fundamental math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
- Understanding of receiving, storing, picking, and moving processes.
- Knowledge of audit practices related to cycle counting of materials.
- Basic computer operation:
Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003 or higher. - Reading and following specifications and instructions.
- Ability to decipher alphanumeric numbering sequences related to item numbers and customer packaging requirements.
- Forklift license – required and must be maintained.
- Uses processes and technology to improve quality and efficiency of service or production; follows processes well.
- Maintains and grows technical knowledge and expertise; pays attention to detail.
- Knowledge of personal computer operation; proficient with Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003 or higher.
- Reading and writing in English at a high school level.
- Ability to read and follow specifications or instructions.
- Computer literate with basic PC platform and office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP and WMS systems is a plus.
- Indoor warehouse environment.
- Exposure to various fragrances, sometimes at elevated levels.
- Moving and lifting objects, sometimes up to 50 lbs., frequently.
- Use of stairways required.
- Ability to respond to and adapt changes in the work environment.
- Capability to operate both motorized and non‑motorized material handling equipment.
- $20 – $23 per hour minimum pay depending on experience.
