Building Administrator
Job GoalsTo support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To work with individual students on a one‑on‑one basis or in small group settings within the general education classroom to help the teacher provide a well organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which a student can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepares classroom activities for the assigned student under the supervision of a certified teacher
- Works individually or with small groups of students to reinforce materials initially introduced by the teacher (e.g., assists in drill work, assisted with adapted curriculum, assists small groups in library or computer, assists individual students in need of special attention, assists in data collection of student's progress)
- Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up by the teacher
- Assists teacher with non‑instructional classroom duties such as snack, toilet, and clothing routines
- Helps adapt curriculum and supplementary materials for use in the classroom
- Strives to improve and maintain job skills through in‑service training programs and other means
- Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality
- Has regular and predictable attendance
Performs all other duties as assigned
Terms of EmploymentThis limited full‑time position is scheduled for 28.75 hours a week during the school year. Wages are in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 5 – $16.39 or $17.19 per hour (with a bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant experience). This is an "at‑will" position in which either the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law.
The "at‑will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing unless specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator in accordance with the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of light duty.
