A leading marine manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its product development and technology team. This role focuses on designing, integrating, and validating mechanical systems that support high-performance recreational vessels.
The Mechanical Engineer will lead system-level design across fluid systems, structural components, propulsion-related mechanisms, and complex assemblies. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions for new and existing boat programs.
Key Responsibilities- Mechanical system design for fuel, fresh water, raw water, HVAC, hydraulic steering, power generation, drainage, and other onboard systems.
- Develop and maintain 3D/2D models using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Conduct design validation, including FEA, FMEA, testing, and DVP&R documentation.
- Review and approve specifications, drawings, and engineering changes.
- Partner with suppliers to improve component quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Support manufacturing integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze warranty data and field feedback to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international marine regulations.
- Prepare technical reports and support customer service with system-related issues.
- Participate in and lead design reviews; mentor junior engineers as needed.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgewater, FL.
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
