Onsite Service Specialist

Our client, a leading industrial supply and service provider, is seeking a Onsite Service Specialist to join their team. As a Onsite Service Specialist, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations Department supporting customer service and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $22-$23hr

Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

  • Provide exceptional customer service to assist with order placement, quoting, sourcing, and tracking cost savings.
  • Manage vendor-managed inventory, stocking, vending, or storeroom programs, including ordering, product organization, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with the team to determine sourcing strategies for customer projects, aiming to drive savings and operational improvements.
  • Participate in customer plant or production meetings, strategic initiatives, and Lean/Six Sigma events to support continuous improvement.
  • Resolve on-site product and service issues by offering sales-related solutions and consulting with associates and suppliers for effective information sharing.

What's Needed?

  • Previous experience in inventory management, vendor-managed programs, supply chain support, or onsite industrial customer service.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with email, internet browsers, and Windows operating system.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10% as needed; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
