Job Description: The Warranty Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and ensuring that warranty claims on our premium fishing boats are handled efficiently and professionally. This role requires a deep understanding of marine systems, components, and an ability to maintain the brand's exceptional standard of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Warranty Inspection & Repair:
Perform diagnostic and technical assessments on boats with warranty claims to determine the cause of issues related to marine systems, electrical, mechanical, and structural components.

Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document all warranty-related repairs. Complete all necessary paperwork for internal tracking.

Customer Interaction: Communicate with supervisor regarding warranty claims, providing status updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the process.

Parts and Inventory Management:
Work closely with supervisor to gather parts needed to ensure the correct materials and components are used for repairs and warranty claims. Track parts inventory and order necessary items to complete repairs efficiently.

Quality Control: Ensure all warranty work complies with manufacturer guidelines and specifications.

Collaboration:
Work with engineers, designers, and the manufacturing team to provide feedback on recurring issues or quality concerns.

Preventative Maintenance & Upgrades: Identify potential preventative maintenance solutions for the boats and recommend upgrades when necessary to enhance performance and longevity.

Additional Skills and Competencies:

• Basic mathematical skills
• Understand and comply with health, safety and regulatory requirements
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Meeting production schedules
• Knowing chemicals, their dangers, safety procedures, mixing procedures and time limits
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Follow safety and health standards - use of protective equipment as required
• Ability to work 8+ hour day shifts (sitting, standing, bending and reaching) and moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Understand and comply with health, safety and regulatory requirements
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, supervisors and/or management

Required education and experience: 1 year to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
