Under the direction of radiologist, performs MRI Procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

• Patient and Room Preparation: entering patient data into Epic and other appropriate computer systems; placing the patient on the scan table in the correct position; obtaining appropriate scout image for procedure.
• Obtain cross sectional images: setting protocols and sequences to obtain high quality images for radiologist diagnosis.
• Direct involvement during procedure: assisting the radiologist during biopsy procedures, monitoring progression from control room, and operating injector when necessary.
• Photographing and processing of images: labeling scan images, processing and displaying final images for radiologist interpretation. Maintain records of image slices and injections.
• Observe radiation safety regulations for patients and staff.
• Train other associates and students in CAT Scan or MRI procedures.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed.
• Perform other related assigned tasks.
